Happy Dollars
Lauren Gardner was very happy that this year's Fore Autism Golf Tournment was so successful despite a little afternoon rain and wind.
Ann Clark was happy for another successful Senior Luncheon on Wednesday.
Alicia Canning has moved to a new house in Farmington and was hoping that someone would offer to move the 50 boxes in the garage of her former Canton home.
Salin Low read a Thank You note from one of Canton's scholarship recipients who will use the $1000 he received to pay for his Class A license course. He plans to train as a lineman. He received our Vocational Scholarship.
Bob Cave attended a Chamber function at the North House where the Senior Job Bank was honored 50 years of service to those seeking part-time employment or needing their services.
Peter Vignati thanked Luke for his leadership over the past year as President.
Johnny Guillot, our newest member, has started on our Gifts of Love project to rehab the stairs and do some painting. He went to Maher's Benjamin Moore paint store to get the paint need. The donated the paint to us.
Announcements
Luke Violette thanked everyone for the tremendous turnout to help with the Senior Luncheon in Canton. Over 100 seniors were served. Luke said that we would not be receiving anymore of his Friday meeting email reminders. We will not have a regular meeting on Friday the 4th due to the Holiday weekend. The Lonely Rotarians Society plans to meet at LaSalle Market in Collinsville at 7:30AM instead. Luke claimed to have had a lot of fun this past year. He's very happy to be turning the reins over to our 2024-25 President, Debbie Stanwood.
Sue Budde passed out tournament advertisements to be displayed in yards. Keep looking out for more information on how to support the tournament. Following the meeting a few members are needed to help sort and update our inventory of tee signs at our storage unit in Avon.
Salin Low put out a plea for a new scribe. Lauren Gardner is going to be Sergeant at Arms and needs a replacement. The scribes work well together and the commitment is about once a month. Gary Miller does a great job training and as tech support (Editor's note: it's true, it's not that bad!! The only skills needed are some computer proficiency, listening and note taking, and you learn a lot about the club and its members! Help our scribes out!)
