Shawn Blacker - coordinates and oversees our breakfast every week at Avon Old Farms. Today's meeting marks the 20th anniversary of this relationship with the Club, so Shawn contributed 20 Happy Dollars.
Larry Haber - shared that he will miss the next two Club meetings because he will be having surgery on Monday, November 16th.
Ben Dunning - had successful minor surgery in New York City last week. That was followed by four days in Stowe, VT. Last Friday found Ben at the Volvo truck factory in Roanoke, VA. The factory turns out a new truck every five minutes.
Linda Pendergast - stated that her granddaughter Judy recently broke an Illinois high school track record by eight seconds. Judy is a senior at Northwest High School and will be attending Harvard next year.
Hank Frey - explained that every slot is taken for the bell ringing on Black Friday. A few more Club members are needed for the next day, Saturday the 28th.
Dale Bronson - gave a "Happy-Sad Dollar" in memory of his 96 year old mother-in-law who passed away last week. He also told a joke about a seafood restaurant.
Greg DeManche - met recently with State Representatives Brian Becker and Tim LeGeyt. Greg described them as "prepared and ready to get things done."
Jolly Lux - was excited that the presentation for the day would be about mission work in Haiti. Jolly herself was scheduled to leave Sunday the 15th to do mission work in Uganda.
Gary Miller - enjoyed attending the Rotary Leadership Conference last weekend with Don Bonner. He added that "everyone should attend the conference at least once." Gary also thanked the Club's veterans because Wednesday the 11th was Veterans' Day. Gary and wife Debbie traveled to Williamstown, MA last Sunday where they visited The Clark Museum.

The Holidays
Nancy Nation urged members to start bringing in children's books to be distributed as holiday presents. She is awaiting information from the National Guard about the two military families the Club will help during the holiday season.
Breakfast With Santa
Diana Boorjian asserted that she needs more volunteers at Breakfast With Santa, which will be held December 12th from 8 to 11:30 at the Canton Community Center. Members are needed for the 9 to 10 and 10 to 11 slots.
Turkey Trot
The Turkey Trot is coming Wednesday November 18!! Contact Bill Lamphier at 860-658-5453 to reserve a two hour shift.

Rotary Pub Night
The next Rotary Pub Night is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1st at a site in Avon to be determined.
RPN is all about socializing, networking and getting to know your fellow Rotarians and their guests better. Bring your spouses, significant others, partners, friends, prospective Rotarians, etc. You may, of course, come and go whenever you want. Should you wish to eat before, during or after RPN, there are always plenty of choices at the venue.
Please note that RPN now alternates between Tuesday and Wednesday each month to accommodate Rotarians who can participate on one of those days but not the other
