Dr. Sabrina Waqar, is currently a dermatologist in Avon CT. She opened her medical practice, Farmington Valley Dermatology & Surgery, in 2014. During various phases of her medical education, she has lived in California, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Florida. She has an undergraduate degree in Biology, a Masters in Public Health, and a Doctorate in Medicine. She did an Internal Medicine residency and followed it with a Dermatology residency. She is Double Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Dermatology.

After she completed her Dermatology residency, Sabrina her husband Joel moved to Worcester Massachusetts. After working for two large medical groups, she decided to open her own practice in the Farmington Valley.

Sabrina immigrated from Pakistan with her parents and siblings in 1992, and settled in Oakland California. She met her husband Joel while volunteering at the Berkeley Free Clinic.

The Rotary motto, “Service Above Self” is a concept that Sabrina and her husband hold close to their hearts. They take pride in connecting with their home communities in Worcester and Avon. In Worcester, they support the Worcester Art Museum, Preservation Worcester and are slowly remodeling their Queen Anne Victorian. In Avon, they are closely connected with their community through Rotary and their medical practice. They happily support the Hartford Symphony, and regularly contribute to local school, sports and arts initiatives.

Sabrina is pleased to be a part of the Rotary of Avon-Canton. She considers it an honor to have served as Sergeant at Arms during the 2017-18 year. She hopes to continue to be a part of Rotary in either Connecticut or Massachusetts, wherever her life and career may take her next.
